This specialized focus ensures that every technician dispatched to your property possesses advanced training in load calculation, fuel plumbing integration, and utility interconnections.
Our 4-Point Contractor Vetting Standards
Every contractor admitted to our dispatch network must meet verified technical criteria:
1. State Licensing & Master Electricians
Contractors must hold active, unencumbered licenses with the Iowa Electrical Examining Board (IEEB) as licensed Electrical Contractors employing certified Master and Journeyman electricians.
2. Comprehensive Commercial Liability Insurance
Partner contractors carry Commercial General Liability Insurance (typically up to $2,000,000 depending on contractor tier) and workers' compensation coverage to protect your property during excavation, pad delivery, and panel tie-in.
3. Manufacturer Certification
Technicians complete factory diagnostic training for leading standby generator manufacturers, including Generac, Kohler, Cummins, and Briggs & Stratton, ensuring accurate warranty registrations.
4. Code & Utility Interconnection Fluency
Contractors maintain up-to-date compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC Article 702), NFPA 37 clearances, and local utility regulations established by MidAmerican Energy and Alliant Energy.
